Originally conceived as the basis for an extended performance at an invitational group show in the summer of 2009, The Sunrise Ruby is more a document of a generative process than a through composed piece. Meant to mirror Brian Eno’s original tenets of “ambient music,” The Sunrise Ruby is the sort of soundscape that could roll on endlessly, a bed of processed piano melodies and clattering field recordings set to unspool quietly.
Originally released in heavily edited form as part of ABX2 - a collaborative EP on Milieu Music which featured Coppice Halifax morphing the track’s bucolic undertones into a pair of storming dub techno monsters - this is the first time The Sunrise Ruby has been made available in its original form.
The Sunrise Ruby is a precursor to Radere's INSTALL debut in the Installation series, KOBOLD, set for release in 2011.
